Der Datensatz "Kinderspielplätze Wuppertal" umfasst die Standorte der als Punktgeometrien modellierten Kinderspielplätze inklusive pädagogisch betreuter Spielplätze in Wuppertal. Darüber hinaus werden Bolzplätze, Skateanlagen, Rollschuhbahnen, Spielpunkte, ein PumpTrack, eine Bezirkssportanlage, Fitness-Parkours und eine Parkour-Anlage präsentiert. Die Daten wurden vom zuständigen Fachbereich Ressort 208 Kinder, Jugend und Familie – Jugendamt erhoben. Die Standorte resultieren aus den Mittelpunkten der Kinderspielplatzflächen, welche vom Fachbereich innerhalb des Wuppertaler Navigations- und Datenmanagementsystems WuNDa digitalisiert werden. Zur Optimierung der Georeferenzierung und Ergänzung um präsentationsrelevante Attribute wird ein Auszug aus diesen Daten wöchentlich automatisiert in ein Fachverfahren innerhalb WuNDa übernommen (WuNDa ist ein themenübergreifendes, webbasiertes Geoinformationssystem im Intranet der Stadtverwaltung Wuppertal). Zu jedem Spielplatzstandort enthält der Datensatz den Namen (meist Straßenname ggf. mit Zusatz) und die Art des Spielplatzes in Klammern sowie die Fläche. Der Datensatz ist unter einer Open-Data-Lizenz (CC BY 4.0) verfügbar.
